about

After playing in rock bands around Provo for nearly a decade, Chance Lewis started making rap music in 2009.

UNDERDOGG is a collection of songs that chronicle this transition.

It's about feeling like an outcast, but not letting that feeling stop you from overcoming obstacles and doing what you want.

It's about living in Provo, but only because that is where the songs were conceived. If you happen to live in a different town, then UNDERDOGG is about that town.

It's about being a musician, and being painfully self-aware that every single thing you say or do is carefully calculated to be a sales pitch, campaign promise, or sermon.
